The Gift of Life

I don't have the time to explain all the events of Nov. 30th but know that the Lord's hand was at work in so many ways that night. Peyton Toler Pennington was brought into this world on Dec. 1, 2010 at 3:16 a.m. He is such a little miracle baby! We came home from the hospital last sunday and are adjusting well. Faith is an amazing big sis! She loves her baby brother. Gotta run for now, but I will have lots more pics to come in the following days. Praise the Lord for all He has done for us. He truely worked a miracle on Tues. night. Thank you Lord for saving Peyton's and my life.

Dec 2nd maybe...

Well this week might be a life changing week. We are most likely going from a family of 3 to a family of 4! I have been on bedrest for the last week and a half due to high blood pressure. I went through the same thing with Faith. Today I went in and my doctor decided to do an ultrasound. They found that my amniotic fluid is pretty low. The did a stress test to see how Peyton was doing. The stress test looked good and he had a strong heart beat. She wants to see me again on Wed. to do another ultrasound. More than likely she will induce on Thurs. unless something significantly changes. Dec. 2nd might be the day we get to meet our son!!

Fall 2010

Last Wednesday a dear friend of mine Kate Burris thttp://www.kateburrisphotos.com/kate-s-photo-blog who happens to be a wonderful photographer took family photos for us. The leaves at Old Main were beautiful, so we headed up there. Kate was able to capture some amazing shots even though Faith gave us a workout. Thanks Kate for catching these memories. All in all it was a good shoot until we came back to our cars to find we each had a $20 parking ticket. Ouch!

Peytons room

Peyton's room is almost complete. I thought I would share a few photos of it. We are going to put a bed in the room for a few months so Lee can sleep in there while I have Peyton in our room and we will be able to use it as a guest room for grandparents after little man is born. We have borrowed a crib from a friend but arent going to put it up until we take down the other bed.

The baby bed will be against the tree wall. I have had a few people ask about the decals. They are from Etsy. I love that site!

Tomorrow I have a doctors appointment for my 34 week. I am actually on my 35th week though. My blood pressure has started to go up so I will be anxious to see what the doc says tomorrow. Hopefully the dreaded word bedrest will not come out of her mouth...

moving day...

Saturday was the big moving day for Faith. We moved her into her new room! Lee is taking apart the crib. We decided to move her current crib into her new room. We borrowed a crib from some friends for Peyton. Wow! never thought that we would have TWO in cribs! The Lord has blessed us with a soon to be family of FOUR!!

Mom and Dad came up for a short stay this weekend. They went to the game on Saturday night but were able to hang out Sunday morning for a bit. We went to Davis Park.

This my new favorite picture! As Lee and I were driving home yesterday we spotted a few trees that were absolutely beautiful. As we passed it I told Lee that in the morning I was going to head to that spot with my little zebra chair and try to get a few photos of Faith. It wasn't until I got there that I noticed a beautiful old house that is absolutely amazing! I would love to take a peek inside. If I only knew the history behind it. The old iron picket fence and stone wall is perfect for a photo opt.

Yesterday a very talented friend who is a photographer took family pictures. I am hoping that she was able to capture a few good ones. Faith didn't slow down a bit. She ran non-stop that whole time. It was challenging to say the least to get a 19 mo. old to sit down for a second. Hopefully I can post a few pics of the fam. soon. Peyton is only about 6 weeks out! I cant believe how fast time has gone. Life is about to be much crazier!!

Taking a walk

Faith would spend every moment outside if she could. We try and go out at least one time a day if not more. I am going to dread when the time comes that it is too cold to go outside.


Faith enjoys walking Copper these days. I am waiting for the day when Copper takes off with Faith in tow. Yesterday we walked Copper almost a mile. Faith about out walked me!

Faith's vocabulary is really increasing. She is putting two words together now. The other day when we were at the doc for her wellness checkup the doctor was impressed that she was doing two step commands and putting two words together. She was in the 15% in weight and 80% in height. Tall and thin. She will appreciate that when she is older.
