Another Project!- "the bow keeper"

I found this frame for $2.00 at the junk store the other week. I spray painted it with "Heirloom white" sanded it down a bit. I cut a peice of cardboard the opening size and then wrapped it with batting and fabric. I ran ribbons diagonally and wove them in and out. I attached the cardboard to the frame and Wha-La!

Social Butterfly

So I don't have any pics to go with this post but I have to document it so I don't forget. Yesterday we went to FAC to the pool as we have several times this summer. Faith, Peyton and I played in the pool as usual. Faith wanted to push Peyton around in his crab and asked me if she could "get in the back seat" of the crab....Cracks me up. There is no back seat....... She jumped off the side of the pool to me countless times. After playing in the big pool for a while, Faith decided that she wanted to go to the baby pool. There was a little girl that was about 3 in the baby pool as well playing solo. Faith turned to me and said, "I wanna go swim with that girl", thinking that it would last for 5 seconds max I obliged and said sure. So she took off across the baby pool. Next thing I knew, she was introducing herself and telling her life story!!! All I could hear was that "Coppy" was her dog and Pey-Pey was her little brother. I think she talked WAYYY more about Coppy than Pey- Pey......It was all I could do to hold back tears! My daughter is growing up. My first born was making a friend and actually interacting with her! Until now, she would play independently and get near other kids but not actually play with them. She played non-stop with (Sophia) until she had to leave.

It made me realize how fast life goes and to soak in every moment. Before I know it, she's going to want to go to the pool without mom. =( Today I am so thankful that I can stay home with them and share every moment. Even though some days are so tough, it's worth it when they come wrap their arms around you and say "I wuv you mommy"

Bargin Finds = Makeover

Last week Faith was at Nana Judys house so I decided to do some junk shop shopping. I found some great find! I spent $11.00 redoing the guest bathroom. I had a few of the items already. I bought the plate shown for $2.00, the large frame for $5.00 and already had the small frame. I used a vase that I got for a wedding present and some foral that i took out of a vase that had broken. Heres the result.....

 I had everything except the two mathcing frames that I picked up for $2.50. I change the fabric which you will see below. I need to take a picture of what it looks like now. Oh and I also changed the lamp shade. I didnt like the dark one.

 I thought these frames needed a little "funky-ness" in their life. So I took the frame apart and added a burnt orange zebra striped fabric to it.  I have two of these. I need to take a picture of where I hung them.

7 MONTHS

Peyton has made some huge changes over the past month. He is such a happy baby! He has such a fun personality. He laughs all the time. I think my favorite thing about this past month is when I go into his room to get him up from a nap or in the mornings, he get so EXCITED! He starts kicking his legs and slamming them into the bed and rolls over on his tummy and hides his face. It is priceless. It melts my heart every time. I know there is a day coming when I go to wake him up and he wants to throw something at me for pulling him out of bed.

He is sooo close to crawling. Somehow he is able to get around in the living room with out crawling. He basically just pulls himself around with his arms. I think he is going to be like his daddy. STRONG!

We have been going to the pool and he loves the water. He is such a trooper for being lugged around everywhere. I'm in love with this little guy. He is a mamma's boy for sure.

SLEEPING:

Well we are still working on his sleep! I don't think this guy is ever going to sleep through the night. I have been trying to put him down earlier in the evening to see if that helps. I cant really see any change, but I will keep trying. He still wakes up SEVERAL times a night. He usually only eats once though. I have started sleeping in his room with Lee and leaving him in our room. ( if you think that's weird, it is!ha!) Faith and Peyton's room are right next to each other. Faith is a VERY light sleeper, so if we put him in his room he would wake her up. SOOO he gets the master suite- lucky guy. We set up his baby bed in our room and Lee and I sleep in his room. CRAZY, yes CRAZY... Hey you do what you gotta do to make it work. I could really careless where I sleep as long as I can sleep. (I've forgotten what that was) still not getting much of that.

STATS:

He is the all American boy. He was 50% in height and weight. His head was 35%

He weighed in at 18 Lbs.

He wears a number 3 diaper, 4 at night

Taking 2-3 naps a day. morning nap at 9:30ish 1 hr -2 hr

Afternoon nap 1 hr

Cat nap in the evening

wears 9 mo clothes or 6-12 mo

Eats all baby food. He is definitely his mamma's boy. He loves veggies!

Loves Ice cream! We went to Cherry Berry and he was literally grabbing the yogurt cup outta my hand.

Just can't get enough of these kiddos. Well most days......

 Last weekend we went to Little Rock for a reunion for me and to celebrate Nanna Judy's birthday.

 We swam in Aunt Phyllis and uncle Dale's pool.

 This might be my favorite picture of the year. I'm so blessed to have so many great guys in my life. These are two of my favorite. Peyton knows how to melt grandad's heart.

a week of first

This week we took Faith to get her first snow cone. It brought me back to the days of visiting Tropical sno in Hugh school. Faith wasn't a fan of the snow cone. She kept saying she wanted ice cream. I cant blame her. I would take ice cream over a snow cone too!

 Every Tues. night we trade off with the Tencleve's to do date night. One week we watch Hudson and the next week they watch our kids. It workd out pretty well. Here are a few shots that Michele took while Lee and I were out on the town.

 This seems to be a regular occurance around here. I find Faith in bed with Peyton. She loves that boy.

Faith's Funnies
- Lee and I have learned not to say we are going to do something until right before we do it because Faith goes crazy asking about it. So we have started spelling things that we dont want Faith to figure out like......POOL, and BIKE RIDE......etc. Well Faith has caught on and now she says, I wanna go to the POTHGDKFJFL. she has started to try and spell things out. Of course it comes out like a 26 letter word. Its so funny! Love this girl.

-Today I figured out that sharpie DOES NOT come out of clothes. Faith proved that. I will explain in a later post, not enough time......

The Good Ole Days

Last Saturday June 25th, the 97/98 class got together for an unofficial reunion. It was a great time! It was held in Little Rock at Maumelle Park from 10-2. It was fun to see everyone's kids. Here are a few pics from the day.
