My Minnie

Faith's 2nd birthday party was a lot of fun! She is in love with Minnie Mouse! I dont know how many times a day she ask to watch "Minnie" It was a beautiful day so we moved the party outside. Good thing we did because it was a little crazy with so many 2 year olds running around all sugared up! Here are a few shots from the day

Today Faith went to MDO so Peyton and I got some one on one time together. Its amazing how easy one seems these days. We just stayed at home. I was trying to re-coop from Faith's birthday weekend. Pictures are to come. I think I have 200+ to go through! I might be a few days until I get those up.
This morning Peyton enjoyed looking at himself in the mirror. It was really cute. He kept wanting to check himself out. I just love this little guy!

3 months

I cant beleive that Peyton is already 3 months old. The time is FLYING by. He is such a momma's boy. He loves to cuddle with me in bed. He usually has his fussy time at 6 am sharp. I take him out of the pack n play and cuddle with him until Faith wakes up. I love that time. I didnt do that with Faith. I was much more strict on her sleeping habits and schedule. Seems like with this second one I am a little more relaxed. Dont know if thats good or not, but it works for now.

Here are a few stats on the little guy:
14 lbs.
Wearing size 2 diapers

Wearing mostly 3-6mo clothes. Some 0-3 still

Lee still tries to keep him up until 10 and feeds him and then brings him to me. He has been going 5 hrs before the next feeding.

He is smiling a lot more

Looking at objects and knows his mommies voice!

He doesnt like tummy time still. He has rolled over just a few times

He eats about 4- 41/2 ounces from a bottle

He LOVES his new swing. I will have to post a pic!

He still enjoys bath time too!

Random

I finally got my chairs upholstered that I found at a thrift shop. I striped them and painted the frames and then had them upholstered. IM IN LOVE with them!

Nana Judy came up after our trip to Scott to help for the week. It was nice to be able to run errands and check a few things off my never ending list of things to do!

HISTORY

February 19th the whole family including cousins, aunts, uncles, etc. met at the Harper- Alexander house which is located in Scott Arkansas. This house belonged to my great-grandparents. My maternal grandmother grew up in the house. It was built in 1904. The house was designed by architect Thompson. He was a part of the Cromwell firm in Little Rock. He also designed Marlsgate located in Scott as well. This house a absolutely stunning. If only the floors could talk. Harpers bought the house in the 60's and just recently remodeled the interior. It is used for ministry purposes currently. The house has amazing handcarved elements throughout the house. The dining room even comes complete with a buzzer on the floor. This buzzer is built into the floor where the head of the table would sit. He would push it with his his foot when the "help" was needed. I was able to sit in the very room that my grandmother grew up in as a little girl. It was almost too much to take in. I cant wait to post more pictures of this beautiful home. I wish so dearly that it was still in the family. Charles Alexander sold the house when his health was too bad to keep up the farm and the upkeep of the house.

There's an oil painting that hangs in my grandparents house of this house. I remember staring at it countless times and wishing that I could go visit.

If you look closely you can see a fountain to the left. A HUGE oak tree in the front yard.

Matthew and Chanie drove up for the weekend. It was so good to see them and hug their necks. Chanie is due in August! We are so excited to add another baby to the family!

Kelly Cooper with Studio Eight cut Faith's hair on Friday. She did great! I can only wish that I had Faith's natural highlights. The girls at the salon were going crazy over her hair!
