My little explorer

Peyton is always creating, inventing, or building something. His little mind never stops. Several times a week he ask me to come look at his new invention. He uses common items in uncommon ways. His curiosity about nature and life amazes me. Today he caught a bug with our neighbors pitcher. He sat there in a trance watching the little bug until I made him put the pitcher up. (I was afraid he was going to scratch it up.)

Easter weekend

Nana Judy came up this weekend for Easter. The weather was great most if the days so we spent a lot of time outside. We took lots of walks and played outside.






We took a trip to the mall to look for Easter shoes. We came away with some goodies. ;)
Saturday we took the kids to the helicopter egg drop. It was very crowded and a bit chaotic. Watching the helicopter drop the eggs was worth the craziness though. They had 30,000 eggs!


We got there 1 1/2 hrs early so P was getting impatient.

Buried treasure

I filled up the sand box this week and it has entertained the kids for HOURS everyday!!! If you are looking for a way to entertain your kids for hrs at the cost of $15 this is it! I am thinking about having Lee built a large one for them. Who needs expensive toys when you have a sand or dirt pile to play in.

Mom had been trying to get me to do a sandbox and I had resisted until last yr. because I didn't want to deal with the mess! But I caved last yr. They have had just as much fun this yr as last. Thanks mom! ;)

Today I buried some change in the
sandbox and they love searching for it!

Art show

Faith and Peyton had their school art show last week. The kids art was displayed in the gym for all the parents to see.

80's skate!

Our community group had a function the other week at the Local skating rink. I had not been roller skating in way too many years. I wasn't sure how I would pick it back up but once a pro, always a pro ;) Lee and I had a great time. I felt like we were in jr high again. It was 80's night at the rink so I borrowed the oh so coveted NKOTB sweatshirt. It's the real deal folks!

Snowing?!?

My boys keep me on my toes and keep me laughing these days. I walked in to find several matchbox cars lined out and the boys were pouring baby powder on them. Peyton said it was SNOWING! Hey I can't argue that it was pretty creative! I just had to laugh, and maybe I even let them continue on. You only live once right?!?!









After that activity Ian later that day decided he needed to color himself. Thankfully it was only a Crayola washable marker. Look at those eyes, like "uh-oh I'm in trouble"
