Memorial Day weekend!

Memorial day weekend we went to Newport for Pop's 85th birthday. It was good to see the whole family. I got to see my precious new cousin Fisher Thaxton. He is a doll. Here are a few pics from the weekend!

Memorial day weekend was a busy one. We were in the car over 12 hours that wkend. We went to Bryant, Conway, Little Rock, and Newport.

This past week there have been many new discoveries around this house! Faith is wanting to explore evertything. I find little "gadgets" in any and every place you can think of. This morning Lee informed me that Faith had put a small rubber ball and my acrylic paint tube in one of my vases. Daily I find her things, toys, my things in lots of hiding spots. We even found her hairbrush in the dishwasher... go figure! Everyday is a new sdventure with her. This morning I cam into the kitchen and found her in the desk drawer! Thank you Dream builders for constructing sturdy drawers in our house!!!

We have been working on how to burp, rock, and hug a baby doll. She always brings me her doll and wants me to rock it. Yesterday I saw her doing it for the first time. It almost brought tears to my eyes. Here are a few pics from the weekend.

Spring has Sprung!

This week has been beautiful. Faith has proven herself to be quite the little outdoorsmen. She goes to the door and tries to open the handle every chance she gets. I dont have any pictures of her in her wagon but she is loving it! Every night she takes a ride in it. Pics to come!

Easter Sunday

Easter was beautiful this year. The weather was perfect. We went to the 8:00 am service up here. Getting Faith and me anywhere before 8:00 is quite the challenge. Faith wore a dress that I wore when I was her age. I am not sure if I wore it for Easter or not but mom thinks that I might have. Anyway, it was still special that Faith was able to wear it.

First Easter Egg Hunt

Today Sunday March 28th we went to an Easter egg hunt in the neighborhood. It was really cold and windy so we didnt stay too long. Faith wasn't sure about the whole egg thing. Mom and dad enjoyed eating all Faith's candy though.

My babys ONE!

On March 26th Faith Elizabeth turned ONE! We had her party at my parents house in Little Rock. We had just family and the Hill girls to the house. It was a great day though. Faith did really well. She enjoyed all the attention. She wore her monogrammed shirt and tutu made by me for the majority of the party. Sugar was not a hard item to introduce to Faith. She enjoyed her cake as you will see. She got lots of books, a red Radio Flyer wagon, a horsey the rocks and has music, a bouncy horse, some adorable clothes, a lady bug that cast star on the ceiling (my favorite), a tea set, and much more!!! I am not sure where we are going to put everything. Looks like Lee will have to get rid of his hunting stuff to make room for all the pink dollys....LOL.... This house is looking more and more like girls rule this place!


God has blessed us with a very special little girl that makes me smile every time I see her. Having a child changes the way that you look at life, your parents, and yourself. I have the greatest husband in the world. Seeing him light up when he sees Faith just melts my heart. He is a great father and husband. I couldn't ask for anything more.

Mom, Dad, Becca, and I took Faith to Wye Mountain for some pictures the Sunday before Lee and I left on our trip. Too bad that it was a little gloomy and really cold. Faith didnt mind though. She was interested in all the pretty yellow things in the field.
