 Last week Faith's friend Will came over for a play date. They had a great time swimming in the pool. These two have been friends since birth. We are thankful for such great friends!

boo boo

Faith had her first big boo boo on Thursday night. I think it was more traumatic for me than Faith. I wasn't at

home either!!!

Last week was a hard week for me. I decided to let Peyton start to cry it out some at night. It made for some VERY long nights. By Thursday I was totally exhausted so I decided to go run an errand and have some "me"time for 30 minutes or so. I was craving a sonic drink that might  even include a little cry in the sonic parking lot. I've shed a few tears there.......Well that didn't happen. I had been gone from the house about 10 minutes when I got a call from Lee. He said in a calm but concerned voice that Faith had fallen and was bleeding pretty bad from her head! Of course, I go into panic mode. All envisions of a strawberry slush was out the window! He said that he was playing with Faith on our bed. She was on his back when she fell off and hit her head on the corner of the night stand.

I rushed home to find Lee holding Faith's head under the faucet. I took a peek but immediately starting feeling faint. (I'm a weakling when it comes to accidents). It really wasn't that bad but I still felt woozy (sp). A great neighbor friend of ours came over and looked at it. After debating what to do we decided not to go the stitches route and just doctor it and embrace the butterfly bandage. So that's what we did. Faith bounced back quickly. A few hours later you couldn't even tell she had been through a traumatic event. I'm sure this is the first of many to come......

a few randoms

Faith keeps us laughing daily these days. She can pretty much say anything that she wants, and I might add that she repeats EVERYTHING we say. We really have to watch what we say these days. For example....

I guess that I say "holy moley". I didnt even realize that I say it. Last week I was changing Peytons diaper, which was poopy. I opened it up and faith said "Holdy moldy" mom! I could hardly control my laughter. I guess she picked that up from me.

I will go into details about Faith's boo boo last week later but a funny story came out of it from Faith. I was asking her how she hurt her head ( I wasn't at home at the time of the accident) and she let out with a story running her mouth 90 to nothing, she was telling me that she was on daddy's back and fell off and daddy said "Oh my gosh" It was the funniest thing I have ever heard. I'm glad that Lee didnt say something else, because she would have told me that too! I have heard her say " oh my gosh" several times since then. I trying to curb that though........

Faith also likes to tell me that things are "soooo cute". Today we were at the store and I was looking at some curtains to go in Lee's office. She looked and them and said "mommy, so cute"! Too cute!

One more Faith story..... We have been talking about God's creation and all the things that He made. We were eating strawberries last night and I told her that God made the strawberries. She looked at me and in the most certain face said " no mommy, grand-b" I was confused at first, but then I quickly realized that we had brought home strawberries from Grand-b's house. she was telling me that Grand-b gave us the strawberries not God.

"Chocy Cake"

 Faith's favorite dessert is iced brownies. Wonder where she got her chocolate obsession?!? She calls it "chocy cake". She had been asking to make some so yesterday we made a pan. She discovered the batter! Take a look!

My friend Amy informed me that the Botanical Garden in Fayetteville does activities on Wed. mornings in the summer at 10:00 for kiddos. I am planning to go next week. I couldn't get it together in time to go this morning. Check out the link: http://www.bgozarks.org/education/littlesprouts/

6 and a few.....

Peyton has made a huge jump in progress in the last month. He is really into his toys and playing with the things around him. When you come into the room he gets really excited! He is getting up on his hands and pulling his legs up under him. He loves to sit up and play as well. He can't get into a sitting position, but he can sit up if you assist him.

STATS:

17 lbs.

size 3 diaper

eats 1-2 meals a day. Cereal and a fruit or veggie. He will eat 1- 1 1/2 containers of baby food

He is still not a good sleeper!!! maybe 4 hrs at night at a time. He still looses his pacifier A LOT!!!

Faith and Peyton have really started to play together. It melts my heart. There is no better sound than hearing them both giggle at each other. When Peyton wakes up from a nap, Faith always wants to go get in his bed. Here are a few pics of them in his bed.

The other new thing around our house is to get each others "neck suggies" (neck sugar) It is so cute hearing faith say it. I will have to capture it on video soon.
