Finally finished them!

So I decided to take the plunge and sew drapes ALL by myself. I have made plenty of drapes with the direction of mom and with us teaming up together but never solo. I really wanted to make curtains for the kitchen so I took the challenge! It took me about 2-3 weeks working on them off and on but they are finished! I think they turned out great! This a pic from my phone. I will post a better one later! They are cream and avocado green chevron stripe! LOVE THEM!!!

11months

Peyton is a busy little guy these days. He is pulling up and cruising all over the place. Last night he did take one step but couldn't get anymore out of him. He is able to stand alone for several seconds, but hasn't realized he can take steps too. He is sleeping through the night most nights. When I say sleeping through the night I mean I don't have to go in his room. He wakes up every night crying once or twice but puts himself back to sleep after a minute or so.
Stats:
#4 diapers
Wears 6-12 month clothing
Weighs 21 lbs
50% in weight and height
Takes two naps. One about 9:30 for 2 sometimes 3 hrs. And one about 2:00 for 1 HR.
Not walking yet
Eats some solid food, some baby food loves green beans!
Still takes a bottle every 4 hrs during the day
Loves to follow sister around
Starting to drink from sippy cup
Loves to play in faiths kitchen

Pumpkin Picking

 

Sorry this post is a little late. Better late than never I guess. Life has been nuts lately. We went to the pumpkin patch on Oct 7th. I’m glad that we went early because the summer heat caused the pumpkin crop to not be as good this year. The kids had fun playing the fields. Judy was in town so she came along. It was nice to have extra help holding Peyton. This is our 3rd year to go to the Mc Garrah farms!

     

Daddy’s Girl

Just a quick post. Yesterday Faith came in our room when I was getting ready and said “Mom, I wanna wear this shirt on Date night with Daddy”

Me: Well where are you going to go on your date?

Faith: to get doughnuts

I asked Lee if he had said something about taking her on date night or that he wanted her to wear that shirt and he said “no”. She came up with that all on her own. So cute! Love that girl!

First Fishing Trip

Faith and Lee went on their first fishing trip last weekend. They packed up the car and went to Conway to Papa and Kat Kat’s house. Lee and his dad used to fish at lake Conway when he was younger so he wanted to take Faith to the same spot. Faith spent most of her time playing and exploring the site than fishing. That’s my GIRL! But Lee did hook a fish with her pole and she helped bring it in. Lee said she had no intensions of getting close to it. I think she was more scared than the fish! Papa Dan was helping her with the catch of the day! They finished off a hard day fishing with a trip to the Fish House for Catfish and ice cream! Oh and the famous HOT FUDGE!!!

  

BOO!

While cruising Pinterest the other week I ran across a great Halloween idea. It is called “BOO-ING”! It is basically the same thing that people do at Christmas with “Elfing”.

BOO-ING involves making a goodie bag of treats and leaving at a neighbors doorstep ANONYMOUSLY along with a sign in their yard saying they have been BOO-ED! There are instructions for the person that has been booed to “Boo” two other people within two days., which involves making goodie bags and  new signs to put in the neighbors yard. I was hoping that the “BOO” fever would spread but I haven’t seen any new signs yet. The thought is that it is better to give than recieve! Here’s the blog that I stole the idea from. Below are the goodie bags! I stapled the instructions to the back of the sack, telling the BOO-e why they had a sign in the yard and to pass the fun along!!! (The instructions where from the blog site as well)

  

 Faith had a great time putting the bags together and delivering them with me. She did have a hard time understanding why we didn’t knock on the door and just give it to the neighbors. I gave in once and we knocked on the door. BTW, sorry if you were BOO-ed and you are reading this. Opps!

Once upon a time

Mom and Dad came up for the Auburn game a couple of weeks ago and stayed here. It was a short stay but a good one as always. Dad spent time reading books to Peyton and Faith while mom and I worked on trying to applique shirts for the kids. After about 8+ hours of trying to figure out the machine we were successful in making two shirts.

These are our final product! Thought they turned out soo cute!
