A reason I love talented Aunts!

Its so great to have talented family members! My sweet Aunt made this dress for Faith. I absolutely love it! She is so talented at so many things. One being smocking! She has 3 girls so she has had years of practice! The dress is a very small pink and white gingham fabric with little flowers smocked on it. I need to try and get some better pictures of Faith in it. I tried it on her and she was not in a "tryin" on mood. Thanks Aunt Gail!

A visit from Papa Dan and Kat Kat

This past weekend Papaw Dan and Kat Kat came to visit us. I wish I had video of Faith when they arrived. She was so excited! So was literally bouncing off the walls and showing off. By 6:00 p.m. she was ready for bed!

Faith was not feeling too good this weekend so we just layed low. Although, Kathy and I managed to slip away for a treat from Orange Mango! I didnt take many pictures but I have a couple.
Faith was worn out by this time and I think she was afraid that mom and dad were going to leave her. This pic is pricless. Dan is laughing and Faith is screaming! What a photo opt!

Home Makeover

I am really excited about our long awaited drapes. Our bedroom faces the est morning sun so in the summers the sun in beaming in the windows at 6:00 a.m. For the past 4 years I have been wanting to put drapes up, but not sure what I wanted. I finally decided to purchase some pre-made panels and hem them myself. I found a really good deal on these and they were the perfect color. Mom helped me hem them. It took almost all day because they are lined and interlined. Now Lee and I can sleep in till 10:00 everyday. Ok maybe not with a 16 mo. old..... I also purchased new bedside lamps with my birthday money. I think they compliment the space very well. I just need a few more things for the bedroom and I will be happy with it for a while.

I am working on the living room now. It is coming along slowly... No pics to show....

New Things

Faith is doing new things everyday. It is so fun to see her discover the world and take it all in. A few new things....

1. Sunday Faith was in my lap during lunch. She grabbed my napkin, turned around, and wiped my mouth. So cute. I didnt know she even realized what a napkin was for. When she eats she doesnt act she like she knows what one is.LOL...

2. Today Faith went to the pantry and proceeded to point to animal crackers that she wanted. Previously to going to the pantry she had pulled all the plastic containers out of the drawers in the kitchen. I told her that if she went in the kitchen and put up all the containers in their place she could have animals crackers. She did exactly what I said! She is comprehending so much these days.

3. Yesterday she went to her room, got her swimsuit out of the drawer and brought it to me. I put it on her then she went to the backdoor opened the door and went outside. She picked up the hose but was disapointed that nothing was coming out.

Big shoes to fill

Faith has started a shoe fetish. Many mornings she wakes up and wants to put shoes on immediately. She goes through her shoes and if she doesnt like what she sees she will go find our shoes. This time it turned out the be Lees. I turn around in the bathroom and she is standing there in his shoes. Too cute!

Race Day

Lee participated in the Ozark Valley Triathlon on June 2oth. Faith and I were so proud of him. He did a great job!! He finished well. The triathlon was a 1000 yard swim, 19 mile bike, and a 4 mile run. I am tired just typing all that! All his hard work paid off! He is going to do a couple more this summer. You go babe!

Memorial Day weekend!

Memorial day weekend we went to Newport for Pop's 85th birthday. It was good to see the whole family. I got to see my precious new cousin Fisher Thaxton. He is a doll. Here are a few pics from the weekend!

Memorial day weekend was a busy one. We were in the car over 12 hours that wkend. We went to Bryant, Conway, Little Rock, and Newport.
