Today was Cowboy day at MDO. My little cow girl is ready to do some roping!  

Faith’s First Fishin Pole

When Lee and I were in Branson we went to the Bass Pro Shop. Lee found a little something for Faith. Her first fishing pole and tackle box!

Sewing Frenzy!

Last week I got the itch to do a little sewing. I LOVE the fall time! It is my favorite season. I decided that I would try my hand at sewing clothes for Faith. I wanted to make an outfit for the pumpkin patch for Faith and a matching shirt for Peyton! 

 

The pants were a challenge for me seeing that I had never read a pattern before. After making the pants three times and discovering that the instructions were INCORRECT I finished them. Next time it will be much faster as I know what I am doing now. The Applique was also a first. It was pretty simple. Here are the steps I took.

1. Drew out the design on Pellon transfer paper(this paper has a rough side and a smooth side. I ironed the rough side on the  backside of the fabric.

2. I then cut out the fabric and peeled off the paper backing and them ironed it to the t-shirt.

3. I then ironed some stablizer on the inside of the shirt behind the design.

4. I free handed a Zig- Zag stitch around the design!

The stem is a ribbon!

I made a Tukey shirt that goes with the Orange pants as well!

The Gift

Faith Came to me last week and said that she wanted to give her “B”’s to baby Ella across the street. We are good friends with the neighbors across the street. They have a little boy that is 4 that Faith loves to play with and they have a little girl that is 7 months old. At first I didn’t think anything of it but she mentioned it several times so I thought we might need to jump on this train!!! So on Monday we did the DEED! She gave her “B”s to Baby Ella.. I figured when we got over there she would change her mind. But she didnt. It wasn’t until she was in bed for the night and she asked for them. When Lee reminded her that Baby Ella had them she just fell apart! She cried for a couple of hours. It was a hard night. But ever since then she has mentioned that she gave them away, but no fits for them! I think it was just as hard on me as it was her to give them up. My baby girl is growing up!

 

We went to Target on Tuesday to pick out a new baby that she could sleep with instead of her “B”’s.

HOG Vs BAMA

Yesterday we played Bama at Bama. The best part of the game day was watching these two cheer on the HOGS!

Little Lady

Faith likes to sit on the counter while I put my makeup on. I looked over and this is what I saw. She was trying to put earrings on. She eneded up hooking the earring in her ear. It melted my heart!!I love having a little girl!

9 months

It seems like this past month has flown by. I’m not even sure what to say about it. I feel like month 8 & 9 have run together a bit. August was a very hot month so we weren’t outside too much. Peyton started crawling on August 5th and hasn;t slowed down since. He was pulling up just a few days after he started crawling. Pulling up seems to be his favorite activity. I put him in the grass to take his picture and he ended up crawling over to the playhouse and pulling up on and trying to climb up it. I think I might have a climber on my hands! He is still full of laughs, and smiles.

STATS:

1. size 12 month clothes
2. size 4 diapers
3. eating three times a day –mainly baby food- some soft fruit
4. Taking 2 naps a day
5. Goes to bed between 7:30 and 8:00
6. crawling and pulling up
